What people say
To everyone - Thank you so much for your love to the song, I am really grateful for it. I really appreciate the different interpretations you have of the song. It is your song now and the song means what you want it to mean :)
Meri physics bhi leja
Meri chemistry bhi leja
Meri bio bhi leja
Karde meko aajad π«
Edit: padhlo yrr koi chor ni aayega π
"Jo na dikhe wo bhi leja " hits hard.
The battle we're fighting without letting others realising , inner struggle which none can see
"Death" is refer here as chor , beautiful way to asking someone what's our identity beyond naam , kaam , ram(religion) ............... death is here the final destination no matter what ... which make us finally aazad at the end as artist refer in "kar de muja aazad".................. such a masterpiece ...
Just loved the depth it has β€
@kashikasisodiaofficial
The word 'chor' in this song represents a turning point in your life when you realize you own nothing here, and you are nothing but a soul..
@Mugdha1111
If you symbolise the "chor" with death, the song start making sense.
@sanketnyayadhish6714
Here could be possible deep meaning of song:
If you notice, the location is Varanasi, most of the time Varanasi is associated with Mukti or death. There could be lot of locations available for this song, but singer being from Delhi has specifically chosen Varanasi
.
(EDIT 1) Here chor can also be considered to Makhan chor or mukti or god who has arrived to make you free from everything!
(Edit 2) Every one has his or her own perspective here we can consider chor as Makhan chor/ god/ Mukti too, I respect all perspectives!
Kal Raat Aaya Mere Ghar Ek Chor
The thief symbolizes a higher power (think of it as death ,the highest power of universe), arriving unexpectedly at the speaker's life.
Aake Bola, "Dede Mujhe Jo Bhi Tera Hai"
It (Death or some higher entity which wants to make you free)demands everything their physical life, experiences, memories, etc.
Maine Bola "Mera Naam Bhi Le Ja, Mera Kaam Bhi Le Ja"
Take my identity and purpose of my life, author is ready to give up everything in his life.
Mera Ram Bhi Le Ja, Mera Shyam Bhi Le Ja
Ram and Shyam represent different aspects of the singer's personality or identity. Everyone has different personalities, angry sometimes, sad, happy, etc.By letting go of all these personalities, the singer is letting go of their entire self.
Or even
Ram can refer to the Hindu deity Rama, associated with duty and righteousness. "Shyam" can be another name for Krishna, associated with love and liberation. In this context, the speaker might be surrendering their worldly possessions and obligations to a higher power, seeking spiritual freedom.
Meri Jeet Bhi Le Ja, Meri Haar Bhi Le Ja
erase achievements and failures, of author. This denotes he is actually tired of his life
and is not interested in his failures and even achievements too.
Mera Dar Bhi Le Ja, Mera Ghar Bhi Le Ja
The speaker is ready to leave behind their physical body (Ghar) and the anxiety of his past and future . Dar encompasses the unease, uncertainty that one might feel in life.
Mere Khwab Bhi Le Ja, Mere Raaz Bhi Le Ja
He wants to end aspirations and hidden thoughts: Unfulfilled dreams and personal secrets have become irrelevant for him.
Mera Gham Bhi Le Ja, Har Zakham Bhi Le Ja
He wants relief from suffering: (Death takes away all emotional pain and the physical wounds of life)
Meri Zaat Bhi Le Ja, Auqaat Bhi Le Ja
Here Zaat is not caste, its social status, its erasing your social existence. Death erases social standing (caste) and worldly status (rank, wealth).
Meri Baat Bhi Le Ja, Haalaat Bhi Le Ja
Death silencing the voice and ending life's situations: The speaker is ready to give up their ability to express themself and the limitations (circumstances) of their life.
Le Ja Mera Jo Bhi Dikhe, Jo Na Dikhe Woh Bhi Le Ja
He wants to give up everything, tangible and intangible: Death takes away everything the speaker has, both physical and the essence of their being (what you can't see).
Kar De Mujhe Aazaad
He wants freedom from life, the ultimate end.
Death as liberation: Death is seen as a release from the limitations and suffering of life (freedom)
Kal Raat Aaya Mere Ghar Ek Shor
(This is the very last line of song after krr de mujhe azad..)
Notice chor is changed to shor denoting the sound of people crying, informing others that you are no more when you are dead..
Even the scenes in video have deep meanings, according to some people. I would just give an summary here.And there can be lot of deep meanings for particular scene
1.The use of contrasting light and shadow could symbolize the struggle between the conscious and unconscious mind, or the narrator's inner turmoil as they confront their attachments.
2. Shooting the video in Varanasi, a holy city in India known for its association with death and rebirth, could add another layer of meaning. It could reinforce the idea of the "thief" as a metaphor for death or transformation.
3. Water imagery is often associated with cleansing renewal, flowing and letting go along with flow.
4. A small boat shown in video may represent narratorβs journey of letting go of everything
5. Painting of Shri Krishna could also represent authors prayer towards god to let him towards path of mukti.
6. The justh's hand gestures at 2:34, denoting his soal, life, heartbeat and his life forces going away from him
7. The empty and dry land shown denotes the same emptiness and dryness of ones life.
Even in interview with DNA where author has performed the song you can clearly get that its "shor" at last, even the interviewer had asked justh meaning of "shor" But Justh wants to keep meaning of the song as a secret so that everyone can find his perspective in song.
Also respect to all other perspectives, I just mentioned what came into my mind.

Maturity is when you realised that you connect with every single word of this songβ€
@Technical_ashish00
Its the self realisation that "we are nothing but soul" , that chor is the realisation. When we realise we are just souls , we have no faith , we have no religion, we don't need a house , we have no fear.. this song is for someone who realised last night who he/she is actually.. love this song from the core of my heart.. please aise aur songs laao please
